Antique Quadruple Sliver Plate Handled Sugar Bowl, pattern #1940. Made in America by James W. Tufts, Boston, MA, ca. 1880. NO LID. This piece is decorated with pretty flowers and foliage engraved around the collar and the bowl. You can tell by the wear to the finish that this sugar bowl was well used. There is one small dent on the lower part of the bowl (see photo #6) which was hard to photograph. Overall, a nice addition to a collection. Height: 4"Opening width: 2 1/2" I pack carefully, using lots of bubble wrap and am happy to combine items for shipping.
