This small antique 4"x6" travel map from 1909 displays the well-preserved walled medieval town of Viterbo, Italy, north of Rome and a seat of Popes in the 13th century. A handsome highly detailed map showing the primary landmarks, communities, topographical features, etc. A striking image suitable for small spot in your home. Wagner & Debes were renowned for their reliable geographic details, and the maps are ideal for walking an old city. Strong and sharp imagery, with colorful tints. The map was created by Wagner & Debes and published in the 1909 edition of Baedekers Central Italy and Rome guide. Wagner & Debes were collaborators with the Baedekers, providing all their maps for over 100 years. They were based in Leipzig. I normally free ship First Class USPS mail; please advise if you prefer tracked or expedited postage, at additional expense. The 4x6 maps are shipped unfolded, as issued in the Baedeker. The larger size maps are shipped folded, as were bound into the travel book.
