Selling vintage late 1960s Buchschmid & Gretaux (BG) round wood inlay/marquetry table. Very rare table I believe is called Four Seasons because the design of the table around the edges is of various farmers/countrymen/women working their fields and countryside. Measures about 35" across and 19" tall. My parents commissioned this while stationed in Germany for the Air Force in the late 1960s. One of the last produced before retiring. Table is in good overall condition. Sturdy and stable with normal scratches/marks in the wood. Legs screw off and table is engraved with a number 1-4 by each place the legs screw in. The top varnish finish has cracking in it all over the top and some discoloring on the edge of the varnish on one side. I had it appraised (valued up to $6000 and should be insured for $8000 replacement value) and was told varnish cracking is very common and is in original unrestored condition and the cracking happens with age/time. The finish could be restored if buyer desired to. I included MANY pictures to be upfront about the condition of the table. Please see all pictures as part of the description and email questions BEFORE bidding. No returns. Will be shipped with legs unscrewed. Shipping will be UPS ground or it is available for local pickup in Houston, Texas and insurance should be added based on selling amount before payment.
