Certified Authentic Ancient Artifact. While it remains "uncarved" on the base (an "anepigraphic" scaraboid), its value in antiquity was focused entirely on the material and form. Jasper was a luxury hardstone sourced from the desert regions and traded heavily into the Judaean highlands.
