For sale is An ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE wooden BURL MORTAR. It is rare to see such a nice piece of burl so intact as a mortar. It has been beautifully turned on a lathe and elegantly shaped. The swirling burl grains are very evident in this piece. There is a short but stable crack in one side. There are minor imperfections as would be expected with an older piece.
