Undated Atlas of hydrographic charts, plans and engravings concerning the main maritime ports of the United States) Port of New York, General Map of the Approaches 'Plate 7', Lemercier printing house (Imprimerie Lemercier), Paris Undated (ca 1890-1900) Printed in black and green ink on paper Scale 1/150000Measures 55.8 x 38cm Slightly creased and rippled, with edge tears (repaired with archival tape) mainly to margins, with one tear which enters map area (please see photo)Apparently uncommon with no copies of the book located on Worldcat Note in French on Archives Nationales website: 'Kept at the Lighthouse Depot, these atlases of hydrographic maps, and some engravings, made by the hydrographic service were kept at the level of the room of the Lighthouse Commission. Used by the Lighthouse Commission, they served as references for the engineers of the Lighthouses and Beacons Service installed at the Lighthouse Depot, some of them having also participated in the collection of these maps.'
