1724 Map of the Frankfurt area by Christoph Weigel the Elder. Part of the Atlas Manualis Scholasticus Et Itinerarius Complectens Novae Geographiae. Hand-colored, copper-engraved map in good condition, with slight wear to edges and corners. Map measures approximately 14.75 x 17.25, and includes depictions of the borders of Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Heidelberg, and more. Copy of original book title attached to the back. Please see photos. Christoph Weigel the Elder (1654-1725) was a German engraver, cartographer, and publisher who published dozens of books and maps during his lifespan.
