On offer: an original (i.e. not a later reproduction) antique map "Berks." DATE PRINTED: 1889. SIZE: The printed area including titles of each map is approx. 25 x 14.5 cm, 9.75 x 5.75 inches (medium) plus margins. ARTIST/CARTOGRAPHER/ENGRAVER: Drawn and engraved (actually produced directly on stone for the lithographic process) by William and Alexander Keith Johnston. PROVENANCE: Published in The Modern County Atlas of England & Wales, W & A.K. Johnston, 1889. There was a further rard issue in 1891 under the title "The Handy Library Atlas of England & Wales". TYPE: Antique lithograph printed on paper. VERSO: There is nothing printed on the reverse side, which is blank. CONDITION: Very good. Suitable for framing. Please check the scan for any blemishes prior to making your purchase. Virtually all antiquarian maps and prints are subject to some normal aging due to use and time which is not significant unless otherwise stated.
