This African Helmet-Mask from the Dogon people of Mali and Burkina Faso is a remarkable find. The face is finely carved, beautifully painted blue and tan, and the eyebrows are highlighted reddish-brown. It is a uniquely colorful piece for Dogon art. Hand-carved of wood, and hollow, the piece is 14 inches tall, the base is 11 inches in diameter.
