Antique 19th Century Small Quart Size Stoneware Merchant Jug impressed “JH Patten Boston”. Unusual small size on this merchant jug from Boston, Massachusetts. Rare find. Cobalt wash over the Patten name. Excellent condition. There is slight roughness to the back edge/base but looks like it was from a stacker in the kiln. Minor other stoneware manufacturing imperfections. It measures 7 inches high and 4 1/2 inch in diameter. Please see the numerous photos as they are an important part of the description.
