7 foot x 12 foot 34 star American flag by Evans and Hassall (1861-1863). Flag was a generational piece that was kept in the original family since the civil war (165 years). It is believed to either be used to fly over military forts, camp headquarters, or government buildings, but could have been used as a recruiting flag. it was custom made by the company and I have not found any other flags from the company that is like it. The makers mark is visible and legible. Material is wool/linen and is in great shape. There is 4 signatures on the flag, all are visable. Any questions, please ask. Thank You!
