We are pleased to offer for your consideration extremely RARE: Antique Japanese Ukiyo-E Bijin-Ga Woodblock Print on Paper byCHOKI EISHOSAI aka MOMOKAWA CHOKI Eishosai Choki, also known as Momokawa Choki, was a designer of ukiyo-e style Japanese woodblock prints who was active from about 1786 to 1808. He, along with Utamaro, was a pupil of Toriyama Sekien (1712–1788). Choki is best known for his Bijin-ga - pictures of beautiful slender women, often with atmospheric backgrounds. This woodblock print showing two beauties, one in a makati-waitress in a restaurant, geisha house, etc.) in full womanhood and the other a young geisha girl, is a typical work of Choki, well worth being called one of his best.
