19TH CENTURY IMPORTANT SOW BELLY FIGURED MAHOGANY BOSTON CLASSICAL ANTIQUE NIGHTSTAND / WORKTABLE ATTRIBUTED TO ISSAC VOSE With our highest compliments Bay Colony Antiques is thrilled to offer you this wonderful late Federal period classical movement period Boston worktable possibly by Issac Vose of Boston. Vose succeeded the Seymours and took over their shop. We carry some of the best work tables in the United States within our standing inventory. We are especially proud to add this one to our collection. This is a "sow belly" formed work table with three drawers, original brasses, full interior in the top drawer and executed in the very best solid and highly figured crotched mahogany veneers. There is just a small hand full of these tables in world & this specimen is in great condition having been loved and cherished in a private collection for years. A Vose attributed work table is exceptionally rare. This specimen is 19" wide, 36" wide with its leaves locked up, 18 1/2" deep and 28 1/2" tall. It is defined by gracefully formed legs, a base connected shelf, and stands on smartly turned ball feet and finished all around its case.
