You are bidding on a Massive rare Weston Electrical instruments company MEGAWATTS meter. It measures approximately 10.5 inches in diameter to the outside flange by 7.5 inches deep. I presume this was used by a factory or a large building to watch or monitor electrical consumption. The Weston Electrical Instrument Co. was established in 1888 so this is one of their first large models from the looks of the patent plate. The interesting question is who was using up to 25 Megawatts in 1890? Please review pictures and feel free to ask questions. I ship worldwide. Professional shipping guarantees swift and safe delivery to your door. Email me with questions. Good luck. About WESTON Edward Weston and the Weston Electrical Instrument Company introduced the first portable and direct-reading current and voltage meters in 1888-1893. Weston's inventions enabling these meters included: the first truly permanent magnets; temperature-insensitive conductors; low-resistance and non-magnetic springs; metal coil frames where induced eddy currents provided pointer damping (1887); the electric shunt (1893) for the measurement of large currents; and multiple current ranges in a single meter.
