From a great old collection of sewing items is this Moravian Star pincushion with early made of early materials. It feels like the star is made of a heavy cardboard substance and it is filled with some unknown material to give it a lite weight. You can hear it inside when you shake it. The star would date from the 1920's - 1930's era looking at the material. It measures 8 1/2''. A nice addition for most sewing collections.
