Description - Wonderful 19th century Victorian solid silver card case of rectangular scroll form with a hinged lid both sides embellished with engine turned decoration, hand engraved scroll foliate borders plus belt and buckle cartouche with engraved initials suitable for Bank/ Credit Cards etc. Fully hallmarked with the anchor for Birmingham assay, lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, Queen's head, date letter "E" for the year 1853 and the maker's mark "A.T" which is Alfred Taylor. Condition - In good order, there is a dint and ding to the edge (please see end photograph) no splits, holes or repairs hinged lid in good order with minimal wobble and opens and closes lid securely decoration is crisp and clear with no wear or rubbing.
