Really pretty hand carved, dove-tail crafted wedding dowery chest. I am guessing late 19th century Made of a hardwood and appears to have had the lock removed but expertly"plugged". Possibly hinges were replaced at some point. Could have had gilded decor on carved front which has worn off over the years. See pics. Till or well inside for storing smaller valuables.
