******* WE SUPER PACK FOR EXTRA PROTECTION! ******* This is an "as found" old bathtub soap holder. The brass springs on each side fit over the faucets for handy use. Made to be the great answer to slimy soap! It is (or was) nickel plated brass when new. I purchased it right off the old bathroom faucets, to be cleaned up and resell. However I closed my store in 2005 and am just now getting into the the many, MANY boxes of saleable items. It also has worn areas, but you need to hold it in your hand to see it really well! The hotel building it came out of, was being demolished, but we lucked out and purchased so many items (fixtures, furniture, etc) from the rooms. That was in the late 1970's to early 1980's. Over the years most were sold, but I kept some to use in our home. But they never did get used, just stored! So now downsizing is here and this one is for sale. Size approx. spring to spring wide, 8 1/4" wide, and front to back 4 1/4". The inside (not counting the springs) approx. 4 1/4" x 6". Of course the springs could streach to fit a bit wider, or even a little more narrow. It does show age and use, and could be cleaned to look better, but it will still show wear. Many we purchased were sent to have the nickel removed and the brass polished. But this one is all original. Most of the use is showing on the springs. No makers name of course.
