Between each “arm” of the starfish are tiny, precisely punchedbubble‑like circles, a decorative technique seen on high‑quality early 19th‑century buttons. We did not try to remove it. The back issmooth and flat, withtwo sew‑through holes, and the outer edge isrounded and polished, showing the refined finishing typical of theRegency to early Victorian period.
