COLOUR SHIPPING FORECAST MAPby Manuscript Maps Viking, Forties, Dogger, Fisher, Sole. The Shipping Forecast is a much-loved staple of BBC Radio and a unique part of British culture. Carefully recited to a highly technical formula, the forecast is nature translated into poetry. My Shipping Forecast Map is one of my best-sellers. The original was drawn by hand in 2014, and the first colour version was released in 2017. In 2020, I created a second edition black & white map, which was was significantly expanded with new additions like the Inshore Waters, the Beaufort Scale, maritime signal flags, and many new decorations. In 2022, I partnered with a master watercolour artist to bring you another limited edition colour Shipping Forecast Map. Her beautiful and intricate painting is replicated in 200 fine-art giclée prints. These prints use the finest Canon pigment-based inks, ensuring there will be no loss or change of colour for decades.
