Black rubber 'boot' glides to fit the 7/16" steel ball leg-end of a Charles Eames Eiffel Tower base. The glide a heavy gauge nickel plated steel foot. This is the original style of glide employed by Eames on the final version of the Eiffel Tower base and pre-dates the more familiar nylon swivel glide. These original glides are made of two components that are hand assembled. This was a laborious and time-consuming process which ultimately produced a superior product. These genuine New Old Stock glides are made of rubber which has a degree of flexibility not found in other materials.
