Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely vintage Elgin American Sterling Silver Art Deco cigarette case. The silver body has a classic ribbed design with cartoche in center and engraved design down both side edges. The cartouche is engraved with fancy 3-letter monogram "W R B". When opened, the interior reveals a bright gold washed interior with engine turned design on the inner walls and pierced decorated hinged arm. Marked "Elgin Am. Mfg. Co., Sterling Silver, Made in U.S.A.". The case has a tight hinge and opens and closes correctly. This nice cigarette case is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only faint signs of normal wear. Measures 1/4 high, 3 3/4" long and 3 5/8" wide. Weighs 98 grams.
