This is a original woodcut map of Istanbul (Constantinople} by Sebastion Munster. From his atlas Cosmographia. We believe this version is from 1552 and was in a German edition. In quite good condition except for being trimmed to the margins on the sides. There is a little spotting to the ocean on the left side. No holes in the center fold but a old repair at the bottom in the unprinted area. A map that is getting very hard to find.
