Specifications

The J. Charles 1814 Antique Original Map of the United States is a rare and valuable piece of cartographic history. This map shows the state of the US from a time a bit earlier than its publication. Kentucky is shown to the west of Virginia, East and West Florida are depicted at the bottom, and Louisiana as a whole is shown west of the Mississippi River. The map measures approximately 15” x 17.5”. It will be folded as issued. The map seems to have been early backed on a thick paper repairing two horizontal slits following the lower fold of the map.
