I do not think these two pieces came together originally, at least the bottom of the turtle has a maker's mark in perhaps Chinese, so I figured they were paired later. The bottom of the dish states "Made and plate guaranteed by James W. Tufts Boston Mass" I believe it is silverplate. Unsure what the turtle is comprised of or who made it. The plate is approximately 1 and 3/5 inches across, the turtle approximately 4 inches from tip of tail to tip of nose. The turtle is roughly 1.5 inches tall. The bowl approximately 3/4 of an inch. In total they weigh approximately 7 ounes.
