Up for sale is a great, colored, original, ANTIQUE MAP FROM THE ILLUSTRATED HISTORICAL ATLAS STATE OF IOWA. 1875 It features a MAP OF MUSCATINE COUNTY. It includes a steel engraving of the ALLENDALE FARM - RESIDENCE OF ELI ELLIOTT, BREEDER DEALER IN SHORT HORN CATTLE, CLYDESDALE HORSES & BERKSHIRE HOGS - MUSCATINE COUNTY. On the reverse side is a PLAN OF MUSCATINE, PLAN OF WEST LIBERTY - MUSCATINE COUNTY, PLAN OF PELLA - MARION COUNTY and a PLAN OF WILTON - MUSCATINE COUNTY. Either side would be nice to own! It is a very detailed map measuring approximately 14 1/2 x 17 1/2 inches, including the border area. This map is from the "A.T. ANDREAS ILLUSTRATED HISTORICAL ATLAS OF THE STATE OF IOWA". Published by the Andreas Atlas Company - Lakeside building Chicago, Ill. Engraved & Printed by Chas. Shober & Co., Props. of Chicago Lithographing Co. 1875 There are tears down one edge from where it was originally bound. It is generally in Very Good Condition. Some age related browning and toning and some spotting and stains. It has some small tears and chips around the edges, but they do not affect the map, as well as some other stains here and there. Some other dings here and there. Chip missing from one of the corners. It would be a great addition to any collection and will look very nice when framed! Please note that while I have included a picture of the Title Page of the Atlas that this map was taken from, it is NOT included in the sale, as it is a reference piece to determine authenticity for the other maps/engravings.
