on offer is a pair of George II sterling silver salt cellars with blue glass liners cauldron form with reeded rim standing on 3 hoofed feet. Assay. London Date. 1741 { f } Maker. I.W possibly (James waters) Size. (H) 1.5" (W) 2.75" + Feet Weight. 160g (silver content) Condition. There is some discoloration in one of the salts hallmarks are worn but legible some surface ware commensurate with age. Glass liners are in great condition no chips or cracks and fit as they should. these salts are a real piece of history and considering there well on their way to being 300 years old their in overall great condition.
