The slipcase shows edgewear. Signs of wear on the interior.; A catalogue of fine examples of those Chinese porcelain wares known as Ko-sometsuke or literally 'old blue and white', destined to the Japanese market. In 161 pages, the book comprises 33 colour plates and a number of black and white images throughout the rest of the book, along with explanatory articles and captions. Showing pieces with a variety of shapes and decorative themes, this catalogue is a reference book for those who are interested in this intriguing and distinctive group of blue and white tea ceremony porcelain wares produced at the kilns of Kigndezhen, Jiangxi, during the declining decades of the Ming dynasty (1368-1644).
