The base is constructed of a black tubular steel post (NO INCLUDED) and a solid steel X-Base that measures 22-inches across. The entire base is protected with a black powder coated finish for a uniform, matte finish. Hidden adjustable glides on the bottom of the base keep the legs and tabletop level and are easy to adjust.
