Title / Subject: 'Ducatus Eboracensis Anglice York Shire' Date: c.1648 Size: approximately 390mm x 505mm (printed area only) generous margins beyond, German text verso. Description: An original, antique, copper-plate engraved map of the whole county of Yorkshire, printed on hand laid paper. The map is uncoloured and has a decorative title cartouche and distance scale as well as numerous armorial shields. Cartographer / Engraver: J. Blaeu Provenance: 'Atlas Novus', published in Amsterdam, c.1648 Condition: Very good condition. Uncommon uncoloured example. A few minor marks to the margins, not affecting the printed area. Centrefold as published. Please study all the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition. Ref: #07078
