Fine mid-19th century folio sheet color lithographed map. Of note for the pinpointing of a Mormon Settlement within western U.S. at Great Salt Lake (Utah) as well as the emphasis upon coastal names along the southern ice coast of Antarctica. Note the light old dampstains in lower corners and within top blank margin. Paper and image remains clean and well preserved with a fine patina and visual appeal. Old damp staining along top and bottom corners.. Original fold line as issued. Sheet measures c. 18 5/8" H x 22 5/8" W. Printed area measures c. 16" H x 20 3/8" W.
